Mobilize unveils ‘Vehicle-as-a-Service’ solution

Renault mobility brand Mobilize has unveiled its Vehicle-as-a-Service solution Mobilize Driver Solutions in more detail. The new service already has a launch customer rearing to go.

The Mobilize Limo electric chauffeur sedan is at the centre of the offer tailored for taxi, chauffeur and ride-hailing service providers. In addition to the vehicle, the package includes financing, workshop service and customer care.

The service is “a response to the dynamic development in the ride-sharing market, which is expected to grow by 80 per cent by 2030,” Mobilize says. Drivers and mobility providers are to receive all services from a single source as part of the all-inclusive package.

The Mobilize Limo is a mid-size sedan with a length of 4.67 metres, a height of 1.47 metres and a width of 1.83 metres, designed exclusively for the taxi and ride-hailing industry. For the vehicle subscription, self-employed drivers can choose between several financing models with terms ranging from three months to three years and mileages of up to 150,000 kilometres. Fleet operators can conclude a leasing contract for six years and 300,000 kilometres. When registering online, customers only need to submit proof of their taxi and ride-hailing licence as well as their tax return. The respective contact person at Mobilize should process the application within two working days, according to the company.

As reported, the first user from June is the ride-hailing company Cabify in the Spanish capital Madrid with a fleet of 40 limos. Mobilize Driver Solutions will also launch in Germany in mid-2023.
