Mobilize targets 700,000 EVs by 2030

Renault’s mobility brand Mobilize aims to double its leasing fleet financed by Mobilize Financial Services by 2025 and grow to one million electric vehicles by 2030. These are to make up 70 per cent of the fleet and generate 20 per cent of Renault Group’s turnover.

DRIVR launches 100 hydrogen taxis in Copenhagen

The app-based taxi service DRIVR has deployed more than 100 hydrogen cabs in Copenhagen this month. The fleet of Toyota Mirai runs against the backdrop of the Danish government’s target to ban sales of ICE cabs by 2025 and that all existing taxis must be emission-free by 2030.

Eve Urban Air announces partnership with Avantto

Electric air taxi manufacturer Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions is partnering with private aircraft operator Avantto to develop an urban air mobility ecosystem for Latin America. The partnership also includes an order for 100 eVTOL air taxis, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2026.

Eve Urban Air reports two major eVTOL orders

The electric aircraft manufacturer Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions, a subsidiary of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, has received two large orders within a few days. Total joins HysetCo’s fuel cell joint venture in Paris

Total is buying a 20 per cent stake in HysetCo, a joint venture focused on hydrogen mobility in the Paris region. The joint venture owns a fleet of around 700 taxis, the majority of which are still diesel vehicles, but will be gradually converted to hydrogen vehicles by 2024.

Seoul ready to subsidise 700 electric taxis

The government of the South Korean capital Seoul is promoting the purchase of 700 electric taxis this year. The subsidy amounts to 18.2 million won (about €13,600) per electric taxi. A new feature is that electric cars from foreign manufacturers are also eligible for funding this year.

UK extends but lowers EV subsidies

The British government has extended its subsidies for electric cars but is again reducing the subsidy amount. For other electric vehicles, such as vans, trucks, taxis or motorcycles, the subsidy has been extended but the subsidy rates remain the same.
