Madrid to replace 1,000 cabs with hydrogen fuel cell taxis

The taxi association Federación Profesional del Taxi de Madrid (FPTM) wants to replace at least 1,000 internal combustion vehicles with fuel-cell-electric taxis in the Spanish capital by 2026 and build the corresponding hydrogen infrastructure including production.

Eve Urban Air reports two major eVTOL orders

The electric aircraft manufacturer Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions, a subsidiary of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, has received two large orders within a few days. Both Halo Aviation and Helisul Aviation are ordering several units of Eve’s vertical take-off and landing electric air taxi.

Total joins HysetCo’s fuel cell joint venture in Paris

Total is buying a 20 per cent stake in HysetCo, a joint venture focused on hydrogen mobility in the Paris region. The joint venture owns a fleet of around 700 taxis, the majority of which are still diesel vehicles, but will be gradually converted to hydrogen vehicles by 2024.

The government of the South Korean capital Seoul is promoting the purchase of 700 electric taxis this year. The subsidy amounts to 18.2 million won (about €13,600) per electric taxi. A new feature is that electric cars from foreign manufacturers are also eligible for funding this year.

Hamburg police adds Opel Ampera-e to fleet

The Hamburg police have received the first seven of a total of 16 radio patrol cars with electric drive. They are the Opel Ampera-e. According to the police, the electric fleet will be used mainly for traffic surveillance as part of the local presence.
