Mercedes opens the order books for the EQE SUV
The Mercedes EQE SUV can now be ordered throughout Europe. The sales release starts with the AMG EQE 43 4MATIC, which is offered across Europe at prices starting at 124,920 euros. It is still open when deliveries are to begin.

According to the manufacturer, further variants of the EQE SUV presented in mid-October will be available to order from spring 2023: The basic 350+ version will cost from €86,810, the 350 4MATIC variant from €89,547 and the 500 4MATIC at least €99,841. All prices listed here are suggested retail prices for Germany; they may differ in other countries.
Probably also to simplify production, Mercedes has bundled “important equipment” into four packages. These are called Advanced, Advanced Plus, Premium and Premium Plus and build on each other. In some model variants, packages are already part of the standard equipment. For example, the EQE 43 4MATIC, which is available at the start of ordering, always comes with the Premium package – but the base model EQE 350+, which can be ordered later, does not.
As a “multi-purpose variant of the EQE business saloon”, the EQE SUV is intended to cover a particularly wide range. On the one hand, the SUV is the shortest of the four large Mercedes models; at 3.03 metres, the wheelbase is even nine centimetres shorter than that of the EQE sedan. Since it is significantly taller at 1.69 metres, it should be “one of the most spacious representatives of its class”, according to the Mercedes announcement. As the new model retains the “essential innovations of the EQS” while being more dynamic (and with a cW value of 0.25 also more aerodynamic) than the larger EQS SUV, the EQE SUV is said by Mercedes to be particularly versatile – without compromising on high-tech and luxury.
The powertrains are familiar from the sedan: There is a rear-wheel-drive model (the 215 kW 350+) and four all-wheel-drive models. These range from the EQE 350 4MATIC (also with 215 kW) and EQE 500 4MATIC (300 kW) to the AMG variants. The EQE 43 4MATIC has an output of 350 kW. The EQE 53 4MATIC from Mercedes-AMG, which was also announced in October, is to reach 505 kW – this variant is no longer mentioned in the announcement about the start of ordering. When it will be available for order and at what price is currently unknown.
It is also not known when exactly the EQE SUVs that can now be ordered will be handed over to customers: Mercedes does not provide any information on the start of delivery. At the premiere in October, it was only said that production of the customer vehicles would start this December.
Update 09 March 2023
Mercedes-Benz USA has announced prices and packaging structures for the EQE SUV. The electric SUV will start at prices from $77,900 and will arrive at dealerships in the USA this spring. Similarly to the EQS SUV, all models will be offered in ‘Premium’, ‘Exclusive’ and ‘Pinnacle’ trim variants. Prices top out at $95,450 for the EQE 500 4MATIC SUV.
