Beijing Estek Technology fails to copyright Mini classic design
The previously unknown Chinese company had filed a patent with China’s State Intellectual Property Office in May last year for a car that looks like a carbon copy of the classic Mini.
BMW caught wind of this and filed an application to annul the patent application in July 2022. Recently, the authority ruled in favour of BMW.
