E1 racing series to premiere in January 2024

The E1 racing series for electrically powered racing boats initiated by Formula E founder Alejandro Agag will start its premiere season in January 2024, about a year later than last announced. Jeddah in Saudi Arabia has now been set as the venue for the first race.

The events will each take place over two days with practice sessions, qualifying and knockout races. The drivers will compete against each other in several heats. The fastest teams and pilots reach the final to determine the winner.

“I’m delighted to be launching my third electric world championship and the emotions are always the same. I’m very pleased to start our calendar in Jeddah, before visiting other cities who are also aligned with our mission and passionate about E1,” said Alejandro Agag, Co-Founder & Chairman of E1.
