The GAC Aion Hyper GT Global Model is available in 710 UHV Intelligent Driving Edition, 710 UHV LiDAR Edition, and 710 UHV Advanced Intelligent Driving 3L Edition trims. It’s a rear-wheel drive EV with 250 kW of power and 430 Nm of torque, capable of accelerating 0 to 100 kph in 4.9 seconds. An 80 kWh battery pack feeds this motor and gives the car a CLTC range of 710 km.

The GAC Aion Hyper GT Global Model features the same design as the regular car, but it is available in new ‘Quantum Red’ and ‘Budapest Pink’ colours. New 19-inch star-motion wheels are available optionally for an even more distinguished exterior. Customers can specify the car in new ‘Quantum Red’ and ‘Budapest Pink’ colours.

Also new on the outside are Hyper Orange or Turquoise Blue callipers, available optionally in the base and mid-level trims and included as part of the standard equipment in the top-end trim. The new brake callipers aren’t available on the regular GAC Aion Hyper GT, not even as an option.

The GAC Aion Hyper GT Global Model sports 19-inch wheels, which can be optionally specified in a new, exclusive ‘star-motion’ design. In the 710 UHV LiDAR Edition and 710 UHV Advanced Intelligent Driving 3L Edition trims, the Hyper GT Global comes with special low-noise tyres sourced from Michelin. Lastly, the rear doors have an electrical release for more convenience.

In the 710 UHV LiDAR Edition and 710 UHV Intelligent Driving Edition trims, the 14.6-inch 2.5K HD touchscreen infotainment system offers Apple CarPlay support, providing an improvement on the connectivity front. Lastly, the latter’s standard equipment list includes 5G Wi-Fi service and lifetime unlimited data as well.

The GAC Aion Hyper GT Global Model’s main highlight is a mapless Hyper Pilot ADAS suite, enabled by up to 34 smart sensors, used to get an overview of the surroundings. However, in the 710 UHV Intelligent Driving Edition trim, the EV only includes mmWave radar sensors, five driving cameras, and three ultrasonic radar sensors, just like the regular GAC Aion Hyper GT.

The 710 UHV LiDAR Edition trim adds two mmWave sensors, six driving cameras, and nine ultrasonic radars as well as a LiDAR sensor. The 710 UHV Advanced Intelligent Driving 3L Edition trim adds two more LiDAR sensors, one more mmWave radar sensor, and one more driving camera as well as an infrared night vision camera. This article is using the outdated brand name. GAC’s premium brand is now called Hyptec. They were at the Paris auto show October with this GT, as wells as their crossover HT and their sport car SSR.They are starting some Europe sales next year and the infotainment system will initially be available in French, German, English, Dutch & Italian. Their European HQ is in the Netherlands and their European design center is in Italy.
