Kempower delivers fast chargers in Hyderabad

In India, Finnish EV charging technology company Kempower has just delivered fast charging solutions to a public charging hub in the megacity of Hyderabad. The charging hub is operated by Glida and covers 3,700 square metres in Shamshabad near Hyderabad airport.

Kempower says the Hyderabad charging facility equipped with its fast-charging solutions can simultaneously serve 102 electric vehicles (presumably electric cars). This will be the third charging hub in India to have Kempower charging systems. The others have been installed in Karnal along the Chandigarh-Delhi Highway and at the DLF Cyberpark in Gurugram.

Kempower says the hub is equipped with the Kempower Satellite Charging System, which is comprised of a Kempower Power Unit and 6 Kmpower ChargeEye cloud-based charging management system. This system allows Glida to optimise power distribution and maximize the number of electric vehicles (again, presumably cars or similar-sized vehicles), that can be charged at the same time.

What Kempower did not reveal was whether the “electric vehicle” charging hub is exclusively aimed at electric cars or whether it also caters to electric two-wheelers or trucks.

Just a few days ago, Kempower announced it will be building a charging station for the Danish logistics company DFDS in Sweden, which is to be “one of Sweden’s largest electric truck charging depots.”

The charge point operator Glida also has Nordic roots. The company was formed when the charge point operator from Finland, Fortum Charge and Drive, launched Glida as a brand focussing on charging point operation in India.
