Fiat puts a price on the Grande Panda in the UK
In Germany, Fiat already said the car was available to order at the beginning of December – since then, it has been clear that the electric version of the Grande Panda will start at 24,990 euros. Stellantis does not mention the fact that the configurator has only just gone online in the press release. According to our colleagues at InsideEVs, the delay was due to software problems.
The Grande Panda, which was first presented in July 2024, is 3.99 metres long, 1.57 metres high and 1.76 metres wide. There is space for up to five passengers, and the boot has a capacity of 361 litres. The small car is technically based on the CMP Smart Car platform.
This platform currently has a standardised electric drive for all models – such as the Citroën ë-C3 or Opel/Vauxhall Frontera, which are platform siblings of the Grande Panda. The electric motor has an output of 83 kW, and the 44 kWh LFP battery should give the Fiat a range of around 320 kilometres. Fast charging is possible with up to 100 kW, and Fiat specifies a standard charging time of 33 minutes from ten to 80 per cent.
The Fiat Grande Panda Electric is available in the La Prima and (RED) trim levels. In the UK, the prices were not known until now. The Stellantis brand says the Fiat Grande Panda will roll to the dealerships there this spring and that the (RED) variant will be available from £20,975. It supports the charity organisation of the same name (founded in 2006 by U2 singer Bono, among others) in the fight against diseases. The La Prima version starts at £23,975 and offers 17-inch aluminium wheels, a 10.25-inch display for the infotainment system, a wireless smartphone charging station and a reversing camera as standard.
There is also a hybrid version available. A hybrid version with a 74 kW petrol engine and a 21 kW electric motor will follow later. The electric motor is integrated into a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (eDCT), which transmits the power to the front wheels. Although it is only a 48-volt hybrid, the Grande Panda Hybrid should also be able to drive a few metres purely electrically. The price of this variant starts at £18,975.
