French logistics company Jacky Perrenot buys 40 eDaily vans from Iveco
However, the 40 eDaily vehicles that have now been handed over are not fully-fledged vans, but rather chassis that were subsequently completed with a customised body by the customer. The vehicles are intended for the delivery of heavy and bulky products such as furniture, sofas, household appliances or fitness equipment. The electric vans mainly operate in the Paris region, but also in Bordeaux and Salon-de-Provence. Each vehicle covers an average of 150 kilometres per day for VIR by JP and completes its route with a single overnight charge at the depot.
For the eDaily fleet, VIR by JP has opted for a chassis with a 23-square-metre box body. The vehicles are equipped with three battery packs and have a range of up to 330 kilometres. The electric motor delivers up to 140 kW and offers up to 400 Nm of torque.
According to the Iveco press release, the Jacky Perrenot Group has invested in this fleet in order to meet the challenges of environmental zones and support its customers in the transformation to more sustainable modes of transport. The eDailys enable quiet deliveries and significantly reduce local emissions. By using the eDaily, transport companies can fulfil the European CO2 emission requirements for new cars and commercial vehicles from 2035 at an early stage.
Jacky Perrenot invested in electromobility at an early stage: At the end of 2023, the logistics company stated that it intended to procure 168 electric trucks and 90 truck charging stations to go with them. In summer 2024, Jacky Perrenot then specified that 100 of the electric trucks alone would come from MAN. The company is aiming to have 250 electric vehicles in its fleet by the end of 2025.
