The major changes are to Volvo’s fully electric models. Unveiled in February, the EX30 Cross Country is a small electric SUV based on the EX30 Twin Motor Performance Ultra. It has all-wheel drive with its ground clearance increased by 190mm. The drive system remains the same as the Ultra model, with a system output of 315kW and an additional battery providing a net capacity of 64kWh, which should provide a range of 427 km. The model can be charged with 153kW DC and 22kW AC. It also has tuned suspension and, again, some exterior styling changes. Prices start at £47,060.

The EC40 and EX40 meanwhile have larger batteries than before, with the Single Motor Extended Range versions of both vehicles equipped with an 82kWh net capacity unit, replacing the previous 78kWh net battery. Volvo says this has boosted the range of both vehicles by 24km, bringing the range of the EC40 up to 580km and the EX40 up to 576km.

Volvo’s bestseller, the XC60, has also undergone a number of updates both to its exterior and interior. The SUV has refreshed exterior styling with a new grille, wheel alloys, and rear lamps. The interior features a larger 28.5cm touchscreen panel, new cabin styling, including a navy herringbone upholstery, and improved sound insulation. It’s available with three powertrains, namely the B5 mild-hybrid petrol, and the T6 and T8 plug-in hybrids. Prices start at £49,240 for the B5 Core and range up to £69,860 for the T8 Plug-in Hybrid Ultra Black Edition.

All models including the EC40, EX40, XC40, XC60 and XC90 are available in a new Plus Pro trim which the company has positioned between the existing
Plus and Ultra grades. Here the EC40, EXC40 and XC models gain pixel LED headlights and foglights as well as a 360-degree camera system.

The latest models also gain Volvo’s new infotainment system with an upgraded Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, which the company states delivers 10 times faster graphics generation and twice the response speed.
