Zeekr starts delivering the 7X in Norway
The Chinese manufacturer opened orders for the Zeekr 7X in the three European countries mentioned above in December. Prices in Norway start at NOK 539,900 or the equivalent of 45,970 euros. In the Netherlands, the mid-range SUV costs from 52,990 euros, while in Sweden Zeekr is asking 579,000 SEK (approx. 50,500 euros). Due to the different tax regulations, these prices are not directly comparable.
The premiere model, which was handed over to a customer in Bergen, Norway, was a grey painted 7X with Privilege equipment. Among other things, this version has air suspension, can accelerate from a standstill to 100 kph in 3.8 seconds and has a WLTP range of 543 kilometres.
The acceleration value clearly indicates that this is the top-of-the-range motorisation. This combines a 100 kWh battery with NMC cells from CATL with a 470 kW all-wheel drive. The peak charging power is 360 kW. However, Zeekr has changed the designation: At the order launch in December 2024, this drive was presented as ‘Performance,’ now it is called ‘Privilege AWD’.
In the Long Range RWD variant, the electric motor at the front is omitted; with a motor on the rear axle, the output is still 310 kW. As the 100 kWh battery is also used here, the WLTP range increases to 615 kilometres. Alternatively, Zeekr also offers the so-called ‘Core RWD’ drive (formerly ‘Premium’): This also utilises the 310 kW motor on the rear axle, but in combination with a 75 kWh LFP battery. The ‘Golden Battery’ from Geely subsidiary VREMT can be charged from ten to 80 per cent in 10.5 minutes if the charging station supports 480 kW. According to Zeekr, the standard charging process should take 13 minutes at a 360 kW charging station.
In Europe, it is not a 1:1 replica of the vehicle that was presented in China in August 2024. The Chinese version is 4.83 metres long with a wheelbase of 2.93 metres, and the vehicle is 1.66 or 1.67 metres high, depending on the version. The European version, on the other hand, is specified as 4.79 metres long, with a wheelbase of 2.90 metres and a height of 1.65 metres.
