Volta Zero: delivery e-truck using organic space materials

Volta Trucks, a start-up with offices in Sweden and the UK, is working on the prototype of an all-electric 16-ton truck. The Volta Zero, due for launch later this year is to use hi-tech organic materials developed together with the European Space Agency, ESA.

Registrations of e-cars in Sweden at about 25%

In June, the overall car market in Sweden declined by 21.3 per cent in comparison with the same month last year. At the same time, BEV and PHEV were still able to increase their market share significantly, thanks to the Swedish subsidy system.

Caverion now service partner for Ionity in five countries

Finnish company Caverion and the high power charging joint venture Ionity have entered into an international service partnership. Daimler & Volvo join on truck and bus fuel cells

Daimler Truck and the Volvo Group intend to establish a joint venture to develop and build fuel cells for heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Although the letter of intent just signed is non-binding, a final agreement is expected to be concluded by the end of the year.

ABB & HDF team up on fuel cell systems for ships

ABB has signed an MoU with Hydrogène de France (HDF) to jointly manufacture megawatt fuel cell systems for powering shipping vessels. The two partners want to optimise the production of large systems in order to be able to build fuel cell power plants in the megawatt range for ships.
