Sweden: Autonomous electric truck in operation

German logistics group DB Schenker is now using Einride’s fully electric autonomous T-Pod truck in Jönköping, Sweden, to transport goods on a public road. Swedish authorities recently gave their approval for the endeavour.

VW turns to Northvolt for battery cell mass production

The partner for Volkswagen’s decision to start mass production of battery cells for electric cars will not be the South Korean manufacturer SK Innovation as was rumoured. Rather, the German carmaking giant is turning to the Swedish startup Northvolt for all its battery requirements.

Sweden: Inductive road to be built

As part of a public-private consortial project in Sweden, a test track for the inductive charging of electric vehicles while driving is to be built which is compatible with trucks, buses and cars. The Swedish transport authority Trafikverke has now awarded the contract for a 1.6 km test stretch.
