Volvo & Samsung to develop electric truck batteries

The Volvo Group and Samsung SDI have formed a strategic alliance to develop battery packs specifically for Volvo electric trucks. Samsung SDI will supply the battery cells and modules to the Volvo Group that will assemble these in its facilities.

Hydrofoiling: This electric speed boat got wings (video)

The Swedish firm Candela has developed an electric speed boat that is hydrofoiling, so it is sort of flying. Top speed is 30 knots (55 kph) and the 40 kWh battery enables a range of more than 50 nautical miles (93 km) – and, they’ve taken it to series production.

Transdev coming to Gothenburg with e-buses

Transdev has been selected by the transport authority Västtrafik as the bus operator for the Gothenburg area for the next ten years. Transdev will operate 370 buses of which 160 are new electric buses by December 2020.

NEVS buys 20% of Koenigsegg to develop electric cars
