EV charging management software provider Ampeco has entered into a strategic partnership with Italian company Latitude for its brand Eleven. It also signed a similar agreement with North American technology firm EVerged.

Let’s look at Italy first: The goal of the partnership between Ampeco and Latitude is to deploy 10,000 charge points within five years under Latitude’s new e-mobility brand Eleven. The Italians plan to contribute their “deep renewable energy expertise”, stating they have “12 years of experience in renewable energy and asset management.” Ampeco, an international provider based in Bulgaria, will supply its charging management platform.

The goal is to ensure “consistent uptime and superior EV driver experiences,” Latitude says. Initially, it will be a pure roaming network, with Latitude Eleven acting as an e-mobility service provider (eMSP) and “cpartnering with leading regional networks.” Later, the company plans to position itself as a charge point operator (CPO). No timeline or number of planned charge points has been given for this phase, but there is a clear focus: Eleven will focus on “highly potential enterprise employee charging and destination locations.”

“We already navigated a similar technical progress with solar energy in Italy 20 years ago, facing significant market resistance that we successfully overcame. Now we’re applying that experience to electric mobility, leveraging our renewable energy expertise to provide truly sustainable charging solutions,” said Franco Valentini, General Manager at Latitude. Ampeco CEO Orlin Radev added: “Latitude exemplifies the forward-thinking companies driving change in Europe’s EV charging landscape. Their deep renewable energy expertise combined with their focus on reliability and driver experience aligns perfectly with our mission to provide flexible, scalable software for successful EV charging operations.”

Latitude is not the only one turning to Ampeco’s platform. EVerged in North America has signed a deal as well. “As EVerged continues its rapid expansion, the collaboration sets new standards for operational excellence in North American EV charging infrastructure,” Ampeco states.

Like Latitude, EVerged highlights the importance of reliable charging – having faced issues in the past. “Our previous platform left chargers offline for weeks without any notification. We lost over six weeks of charging revenue because there was no way to remotely diagnose or resolve issues,” explains Marcia Degnan, CMCO at EVerged. “With Ampeco, we can see instantly when chargers go down and resolve most problems without costly truck rolls.”

Ampeco says it can resolve 70 to 80 per cent of all issues through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting. In addition to real-time monitoring with instant alerts, the platform offers in-depth charging analytics, proactive customer support, and comprehensive reporting tools.

EVerged and Ampeco have already implemented their first project in San Diego. This involves approximately 4,000 charge points, which will gradually be integrated into the Ampeco platform. The project includes both AC and DC chargers, covering public and private use cases.

In 2023, German carmaker BMW invested in Ampeco through its venture arm BMW i Ventures. Since then, Ampeco has grown significantly, raising around 26 million US dollars in another funding round in November 2024 and securing major partners such as Hubject and E.ON Drive Infrastructure.
