Tesla opens new Supercharger site with BK lounge

Tesla has opened a new Supercharger site near the A5 motorway in France. The location in Magnant features 56 V4 charging points, solar canopies covering most bays, and a lounge with 24/7 access to toilets.

Just off the A5 motorway, 250 kilometres southeast of Paris, EV drivers can now charge their vehicles at 56 Tesla Supercharger stalls of the latest V4 generation. These are Tesla’s most recent charging units, equipped with a longer cable, a small display, and contactless payment support—making them suitable for charging electric cars from other manufacturers.
Charging costs at this site are low by German standards. Tesla currently charges €0.29 or €0.34 per kilowatt-hour, depending on the time of day.

These rates align with the typical pricing level in France: nearby locations such as Saint-Parres charge between €0.30–€0.35/kWh, while Chateauvillain is slightly cheaper at €0.28–€0.32/kWh. However, the latter is an older site equipped with just six V2 charging points, offering a maximum power output of 150 kW.

At the Magnant site, nearly all parking bays are covered. The facility includes five separate solar canopies above the U-shaped charging layout. As is typical for Tesla, the charging posts are positioned at the end of each bay, so depending on a vehicle’s charging port location, drivers must either reverse or pull forward into the space. Four bays are wheelchair accessible, providing additional space for entry and exit. Images from the site show one uncovered charging stall designed for drive-through use, making it suitable for longer vehicles or those towing trailers.

At the centre of the U-shaped layout stands a lounge with toilet facilities—not operated by Tesla but by German firm BK Group. According to the company, the lounge offers “snacks, drinks and ice cream, quality coffee, a games console, comfortable seating areas, and clean, modern toilets.”

BK Group initially introduced the concept at selected locations in Germany. Magnant is now the third BK Lounge at a French Supercharger site. The first opened in Roye last year, followed by a second in Sénas. BK Group plans to open two more French locations shortly.
