Plugsurfing to provide Ayvens with European fleet charging solution

Fleet giant Ayvens is turning to Plugsurfing to cut through the complexity of charging 600,000 electric vehicles across 42 countries. The partners will launch a white-label charging app in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium and the UK, with plans to expand further across Europe.

The white-label app provides real-time availability and transparent pricing, with authentication options via RFID or in-app. For operators, a fleet portal enables card and driver management, monitoring of charging sessions across public, home and workplace locations, spend control, policy compliance and role-based access. Reporting functions include country- and operator-level breakdowns, cost and utilisation insights, reimbursement support and compliance reporting.

The memorandum of understanding signed by both parties covers initial deployment in six countries, with further rollouts to follow. Both companies see the partnership as a way to address operational challenges for fleets and support wider adoption of electric mobility across Europe.

According to Plugsurfing, the partnership will deliver “one branded app, one comprehensive portal and one monthly bill instead of hundreds of operator invoices.” The company notes that Ayvens, the French mobility brand from ALD Automotive and Leaseplan, opted for Plugsurfing’s white-label solution for its speed to market and unified brand experience.

The collaboration is intended to improve both the driver and operator experience. “Our collaboration with Plugsurfing allows us to enrich our EV offering and deliver a charging solution that enhances the driver experience and optimises fleet operations for our clients across Europe,” said Annie Pin, Chief Commercial Officer at Ayvens. “Providing a seamless charging experience allows us to address a major obstacle to the adoption of electric vehicles.”

Tom Rowlands, Managing Director of Global EV Solutions at Corpay, Plugsurfing’s parent company, added: “This partnership highlights the power of Plugsurfing’s platform to deliver fleet solutions that scale. At the heart of our offer is the fleet portal, which gives businesses the tools to manage cards, track spend, and gain actionable insights across public, home, and workplace charging.”
