Lucid delivers more cars in Q3

Lucid's growth continues: the American electric car start-up delivered more than 4,000 electric cars to customers in the third quarter for the first time, already exceeding its total deliveries for the whole of last year.

Specifically, Lucid produced 3,891 electric cars and delivered 4,078 units – made possible by a surplus in the second quarter, when the company produced nearly 500 more vehicles than it delivered. Since Q2 2023, deliveries have risen steadily to a record high of 3,309 vehicles in the second quarter of 2025. Production, on the other hand, has fluctuated repeatedly.

However, the production figure mentioned only includes those vehicles that were completely finished at the main US plant in Casa Grande. As Lucid writes in its announcement, more than 1,000 additional vehicles were manufactured in Q3 for final assembly in Saudi Arabia. In September 2023, Lucid opened a factory in Saudi Arabia where the Lucid Air electric saloon is assembled but not completely manufactured. The company has opted for an SKD (Semi Knocked Down Assembly) concept there, only pre-assembled kits from the Casa Grande plant are assembled in Saudi Arabia, but all body parts come from the US.

In the current year up to 30 September, Lucid built 9,966 vehicles (excluding kits and additional units for Saudi Arabia) and delivered 10,496 units of the Air sedan and Gravity SUV model. Lucid does not specify in its announcement how production and deliveries are distributed between the two models. However, one thing is clear: after just three quarters, Lucid Motors has already built and delivered more cars in 2025 than in the whole of 2024, when 9,029 vehicles were produced and 10,241 delivered after twelve months.

Beyond that, Lucid is not commenting on business development or forecasts. That will not happen until 5 November, when the company will present its third-quarter financial results and also plans to hold a conference call with shareholders.
