Lucid Motors delivered more than 10,000 vehicles in 2024
With that, Lucid met its annual production target of 9,000 units, also because it just recently started producing its second electric car, the Lucid Gravity SUV. It is being built in series at the Casa Grande plant in Arizona.
Lucid has been accepting orders for the Gravity for several weeks, at least in the US. The model is available there from $79,900. However, the version rolling off the production line is not the base model, but the Gravity Grand Touring. It starts at 94,900 dollars. The Gravity Touring for less than $80,000 will launch at the end of 2025.
But back to the production and delivery figures: According to the very brief statement published by Lucid Motors, the carmaker manufactured 3,386 and delivered 3,099 vehicles in the last quarter of 2024. That means Lucid produced almost double the number of electric cars in Q4/2024 than in Q3/2023, when it manufactured 1,805 units. Deliveries did not soar in the same proportion but rose by 318 units (from 2,781 EVs in Q3/2024).
Looking at the year as a whole, the numbers are also up. In 2023, the luxury car manufacturer produced 8,428 electric cars and delivered 6,001 units.
The carmaker will publish its 2024 financial results on 25 February. It also remains to be seen how high the US automaker will set its delivery target for the current year, now that it has two vehicles on offer.
Moreover, like Tesla once did, Lucid Motors also aims to expand its portfolio downwards from the expensive premium models. According to recent reports, Lucid plans to develop not just one but three mid-range models.
