Zeekr 001 to receive 900-volt system voltage
Thanks to the higher system voltage and other improvements, charging rates of up to 12C are now possible. The in-house Zeekr Golden Battery with a capacity of 95 kWh can thus be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just seven minutes. Alternatively, the 103 kWh CATL Qilin battery is also available. It charges at 6C and takes ten minutes to reach 80 per cent state of charge.
With the Zeekr Golden Battery, the Zeekr 001 offers a CLTC range of 710 kilometres, while it can achieves a CLTC range of up to 810 kilometres with the CATL Qilin Battery, depending on the equipment variant. As always, the CLTC range is significantly more generous than the WLTP procedure commonly used in Europe. While there is no precise conversion, CLTC values are typically 20–30 per cent higher than WLTP ranges.
The Zeekr 001 has also been available in some European countries since 2023. Whether and when the revised version of the Zeekr 001 will also come to Europe is still unclear.
Zeekr had already updated the 001 in 2024, increasing its system performance from 400 to 800 volts. The fact that another update to 900 volts follows so quickly highlights the rapid innovation cycles among Chinese EV manufacturers.
The revised Zeekr 001 has also gone on sale in China, and the first customer deliveries have already taken place. The price list starts at 269,800 yuan (approx. €32,400), with the vehicle available in four variants.
The updated rear-wheel drive Zeekr 001 delivers 370 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 4.98 seconds. The more expensive all-wheel drive version has a peak output of up to 680 kW, accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 2.83 seconds and has a top speed of 280 kph. By comparison, the most powerful version of the older Zeekr 001 delivered 580 kW and accelerated from 0 to 100 kph in 3.3 seconds.
The highlights include a luxurious interior with a panoramic glass roof. There is also a 15.05-inch central display and an 8.8-inch driver display, as well as a 7.1-channel sound system. The Zeekr 001 also offers the Zeekr G-Pilot H7 driver assistance system, which works with 31 sensors, including LiDAR.
