British Gas is one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers, providing energy and services to more than ten million homes and businesses. Through the partnership, homeowners will gain access to domestic charging installations supported by Weev’s team of local engineers and installers.

The companies said the collaboration combines British Gas’ national experience with Weev’s local expertise to expand reliable and accessible home charging options for electric vehicle users.

Weev states that it continues to grow, having extended its public, workplace and home charging network across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland over the past year. The company adds that the collaboration with British Gas will enhance the availability of residential charging and support the region’s growing EV infrastructure.

“Home charging is one of the key components for EV drivers making the switch and plays a huge role in the development of our industry,” said Thomas O’Hagan, Chief Commercial Officer at Weev. “We are very proud to have been selected as British Gas’ Northern Ireland partner and look forward to bringing high quality home EV charger installations to their customers.”

“We’re committed to making the switch to electric vehicles as easy as possible for our customers. Partnering with Weev allows us to offer a trusted local installation service in Northern Ireland, one that shares our values of reliability, sustainability and exceptional customer care,” added Caroline McCoy, National Operations Manager at British Gas.
