It marks a further progression of DHL Philippines’ EV adoption efforts, having first deployed one of the Philippines’ largest electric fleets back in December 2025. The fleet initially featured 23 electric vehicles and 22 prime movers, making it one of the country’s largest logistics operators with its own EV fleet. With the new additions, BEVs will account for 41 per cent of DHL Express Philippines’ delivery fleet.

Each of the new vans are designed specifically for last-mile delivery, with 5.1 cubic metres of cargo capacity and LFP batteries rated at 307.2 volts. DHL adds that the vehicles can reach full charge in approx. five hours using DC fast chargers, although no information has been shared on the specific models. Press images from the initial fleet launch in December showed electric trucks from the Chinese manufacturer Foton, but this has not been confirmed.

The new vehicles will be deployed on high-density routes across Metro Manila and Cebu, including Pasig, Makati, Bonifacio Global City, Muntinlupa, Manila, Pasay and Parañaque. The vehicles will also be equipped with telematics systems enabling the company to monitor battery performance, energy consumption, vehicle location and driving behaviour in real time.

Nigel Lockett, DHL Express Philippines Managing Director, said: “By expanding our electric vehicle fleet in the country’s most active delivery zones, we are supporting the reduction of emissions from last-mile operations in areas where our couriers, customers, and communities interact every day.”
