The company has deployed the first batch of electric taxis sourced from Green GSM in Rizal province. In the next phase, it expects to expand the service across Metro Manila and surrounding localities.

Under this partnership, Green GSM is supplying VinFast EVs and providing its ride-hailing platform to Green Xentro. Green Xentro is responsible for on-the-ground operations, including driver management and service execution. Initially, in October 2025, it had signed a memorandum of understanding to procure 2,000 vehicles from Green GSM.

All 2,500 electric taxis will feature GPS tracking, CCTV, dashcams, and panic buttons, and will be monitored around the clock from a dedicated facility. In the original announcement, Green GSM said that it will supply 2,000 units of the Nerio Green, an adapted version of the VF e34 sub-compact SUV, within two years.

Accordingly, the first batch commissioned in Rizal province consists of the Nerio Green, which features a single, front-mounted motor producing 110 kW and 242 Nm of torque and a 41.9 kWh LFP battery pack that delivers a range of 318.6 kilometres, as per the NEDC cycle. Neither Green GSM nor Xentro Group has specified details about the models or the delivery timeline for the additional 500 units.

Commenting on the plan to expand the fleet to 2,500 units, Green Xentro CEO Noel M. Ignacio said: “We see this as a long-term investment in building a transport system that is more reliable, more structured, and better aligned with the needs of Filipino communities.”

“This is not just a fleet deployment. It represents the early stage of a scalable model where strong local partners lead market execution, while Green GSM enables growth through a unified electric mobility platform,” said Green GSM Southeast Asia MD Dao Quy Phi.
