The Mobility House is restructuring its business and divesting its unit for turnkey charging infrastructure and intelligent energy management systems for commercial fleets. The move streamlines the company, which has built its business at the intersection of the mobility and energy sectors. As part of the transaction, The Mobility House is selling its Solutions division to B2B mobility service provider Edenred. The parties have not disclosed the purchase price. They expect to complete the transaction in the third quarter of 2026.

The Mobility House began restructuring its organisation in 2024. As part of the process, the Munich-based company split its operations into four specialised business units and reduced its workforce. The reorganisation created The Mobility House Energy, The Mobility House Solutions, The Mobility House Charging and The Mobility House North America.

In the same year, founder Thomas Raffeiner returned as CEO, succeeding Robert Hienz, who left the company to join Solarpack Germany. At the time, The Mobility House said it had divided the business into four units to achieve ‘greater responsiveness to market changes.’

The Mobility House Solutions subsequently became the group’s dedicated business unit for B2B fleet electrification. Most recently, the division served around 5,000 customers and managed more than 2,500 active fleet depots. It employs approximately 60 people.

The company is now selling the unit to sharpen its focus on vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology, flexibility marketing and energy trading. The Mobility House argues that its core expertise lies in matching the variable availability of renewable energy with charging demand and monetising the resulting flexibility in electricity markets – an area in which only a limited number of companies are currently active.

At the same time, The Mobility House sees the rapidly expanding market for commercial fleet electrification entering a phase of consolidation. Against this backdrop, the company says it is taking the opportunity “to transfer The Mobility House Solutions to a strong, focused owner who can fully capitalise on market growth.” According to the Munich-based firm, Edenred is well positioned to support the next stage of growth, given its base of more than 300,000 corporate customers across Europe and Latin America and its position as one of the world’s leading B2B mobility service providers.

A key element of the transaction is the transfer of the rights to ChargePilot, The Mobility House’s flagship charging and energy management platform. The manufacturer-independent system has been one of the company’s best-known products for years. However, The Mobility House will retain the rights to ChargePilot in North America and the APAC region.

At the same time, The Mobility House emphasises that its Energy unit will become a commercial partner of Edenred. Together, they aim to offer fleet operators the opportunity ‘to turn their electric fleet into an intelligent energy asset.’

Following the transaction, The Mobility House Solutions will operate under the name Edenred e-Mobility GmbH. However, the company says the existing brand identity will remain intact, with both the The Mobility House Solutions and ChargePilot brands continuing unchanged. Existing contracts with customers and employees will also remain in force.

The company adds that day-to-day operations will continue without disruption. Customers will continue to receive the same services, while the existing team will remain in place and continue working from The Mobility House’s Munich office.

Additionally, The Mobility House Charging division—which supplies private customers, specialist partners, and resellers with tailored charging solutions and wallbox products—will remain fully within The Mobility House, along with all other group divisions such as The Mobility House North America.

“The acquisition of TMH solutions significantly strengthens our position in the electromobility market for B2B clients, particularly in supporting charging needs, with additional delivery capabilities at workplaces and depots,” said Diane Coliche, Global Chief Operating Officer for Mobility at Edenred. “It enables Edenred to expand its presence across the electromobility value chain and to fully address B2B fleet managers’ needs in the electrification of their fleets. We are delighted to welcome TMH Solutions’ team to Edenred and look forward to having them on board to broaden our offering to our clients.”

“I am incredibly proud of our team, who built The Mobility House Solutions into a leading provider of fleet charging and energy management systems,” said Thomas Raffeiner, CEO and founder of The Mobility House. “Together with Edenred’s unmatched scale and commercial reach, our competence and technology will take this business to the next level across Europe.”

Herbert Diess, former CEO of Volkswagen and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of The Mobility House, emphasised: “Focus and a clear, rapidly scalable business model, aligned with the entire team, are essential prerequisites for a startup like The Mobility House to further expand its technological leadership, particularly in V2G with electric vehicles, and to create value. Our goal is to supply households and cars with unimaginably low-cost energy as the next-generation energy provider. Focus is indispensable for this.”

Diess is convinced that The Mobility House will become significantly faster and more efficient at its core through the sale of its successful fleet and charging solutions business to Edenred. “This is necessary in a competition that is only just beginning. Our successful team around Heiko Bayer, our technical solutions, and our customers will find in Edenred a competent, high-performance, and committed new owner who intends to vigorously expand our previous activities in this field.”
