MFG cuts ultra-rapid charging prices for summer
According to the company, the reduction equates to a saving of 20 pence per kWh and could lower the cost of a typical charging session by up to £6. MFG says the promotion makes it one of the lowest-priced providers of ultra-rapid public charging in the UK during the summer period.
MFG EV Power currently operates more than 2,000 charging bays across nearly 600 locations nationwide and has just recently begun rolling out plug-and-charge together with Octopus Electroverse. The network offers charging capacities of 150 kW, 300 kW and up to 400 kW.
The charging infrastructure is installed at MFG forecourts throughout the UK and is also located at nearly 300 Morrisons supermarkets.
MFG says it is investing more than £400 million in the expansion of its charging business, a figure it already named back in 2021. The company plans to deploy more than 3,000 ultra-rapid chargers rated at 150 kW, 300 kW and 400 kW across its estate as part of its long-term electrification strategy.
“This summer price drop is our commitment to British EV drivers: we are putting you first, cutting our ultra-rapid charging rate to just 59p/kWh so that your summer journeys are cheaper, greener and hassle-free,” said Martin Symes, EV Director at MFG. “With thousands of chargers across the UK and now one of the lowest rapid-charging prices in the country, there has never been a smarter time to go electric – now powered for less by MFG.”
