Contrary to an earlier decision, the Serbian government has given the go-ahead for lithium mining. Europe's largest lithium reserves are believed to be in the Jadar Valley in western Serbia. A strategic partnership on sustainable raw materials, battery value chains and electric vehicles with the EU has been signed.
