Just a few weeks ago, it was reported that VW planned to discontinue its flagship Touareg model next year. However, the SUV, currently available only with a combustion engine or as a plug-in hybrid, could soon return as an electric vehicle – and might even become the first car built on VW’s new SSP architecture.
