The Chinese government is getting involved in the wave of discounts for electric cars triggered by BYD. At a meeting organised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the relevant authorities in Beijing at the beginning of this week car manufacturers were urged caution. The ministry now says it will "carry out anti-unfair competition law enforcement, and take necessary regulatory measures."
