The Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer Isuzu has started building a test track for fully automated commercial vehicles on its island of Hokkaido. Buses and trucks with autonomy level 4 are to be tested there from September 2027. In the medium term, the new site is set to become Isuzu's centre for the development of autonomous driving technologies.
