Volkswagen births the ID.4 out of the ID. Crozz

Volkswagen has given a “concrete outlook” on a fully electric compact SUV. The model, for which the study has so far been called ID. Crozz, will be called ID.4 as a production vehicle. This is the second MEB model after the ID.3, and should be launched before the end of this year.

Series version VW ID.Crozz to become ID.4

With the ID.3 just out, Volkswagen had further announcements to make at the IAA and said the VW ID. Crozz concept will be called ID.4 once it hits the markets in series. The model is destined for the US first next year and will be the first MEB-based model in the USA.

VW to manufacture small electric car in Eastern Europe

Volkswagen’s plans for future plants are changing rapidly: from 2023, the purely electric small car for less than 20,000 euros is to be built in Eastern Europe instead of in Emden in Germany as originally planned. The Zwickau plant in Germany will probably hand over the production of the I.D. Crozz to Emden.
