Extreme E and AFC Energy push off-road charging

Formula E founder’s Alejandro Agag latest adventure, the Extreme E racing series for bespoke e-SUVs racing the world’s remotest corners, found a partner in Britain’s AFC Energy. Their off-grid fuel cell system for green power generation uses green hydrogen to create electricity.

The British AFC Energy has developed a modular, hydrogen-powered charging station for electric vehicles. The off-grid system is self-contained and designed to cover areas with poor grid coverage with rapid charging “anywhere it is needed”.

BEV charging solution powered by a fuel cell

The British company AFC Energy has demonstrated a network-independent charging solution for electric vehicles under the name CH2ARGE. A hydrogen fuel cell system provides energy to charge a connected battery that lastly delivers the charge for the electric car.
