The newly founded company, American Battery Solutions (ABS), which claims to be worth 50 million dollars, is announcing its arrival. ABS has signed a purchase agreement with Robert Bosch Battery Systems for test and production equipment and will take over the assembly plant of the Bosch subsidiary in Springboro, Ohio as well.

The German automobile supplier Dräxlmaier, located near Stuttgart, is starting series production of the 800-volt total battery system for the Porsche Taycan. For this purpose, the Bavarian company built their first battery assembly plant on an area of 10,000 sqm.

Battery maker Voltabox generated sales of 66.9 million euros in 2018, more than double from what the made in 2017. The company explains its success with orders for batteries for specialist vehicles such as forklifts and also plans to further expand into the business of light electric vehicles this year.
