JT Energy set for intralogistics battery operations

JT Energy Systems will be taking over the former Solarworld plant in Freiberg, Germany. The company was founded by Jungheinrich and Triathlon Holding at the beginning of 2019 and aims to create “the largest European production centre for batteries and charging systems in intralogistics”.

Kreisel Electric developing batteries with VinFast

Indonesia: International consortium seeks nickel & cobalt

An international consortium of renowned e-mobility players plans to build a resource mining plant for lithium-ion batteries on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. In concrete terms, the project reportedly involves nickel and cobalt. Apparently, Tesla, CATL, LG Chem, Daimler and Volkswagen aim to participate in the consortium.
