Tesla style: Kreisel Electric is showcasing its own technology in various prototypes or conversions. The company’s version of the e-Golf boasts a range of up to 430 km with Kreisel’s battery pack that also increases capacity by 130 percent – without adding weight or reducing space.

Smart home: Circontrol developed the eHome BeON, a smart sensor that protects a house circuit from blackouts at times of overload as it regulates the electric car charging. Together with the firm’s wallbox, the device adjusts power dynamically.
Self-bonding: Axalta Coating Systems developed a self-bonding electrical steel varnish called Voltatex 1175W-1K. It requires only one component. Self-bonding properties are much sought after, particularly in the manufacture of motors for electric vehicles as they glue magnets for rotors together.
10 – 30% higher energy density promises Columbia University and Institute Recherche d’Hydro-Québec. A team found a novel pre-lithiation method to increase the energy density of Li-ion batteries through a trilayer structure. Its stability in ambient air makes the batteries more durable and cheaper.
