LG Chem to build cathode plant in the USA
The South Korean battery cell manufacturer LG Chem has announced the construction of the largest factory for the production of cathode materials for electric car batteries on American soil. This will be built in Clarksville in the state of Tennessee with an investment of 3.2 billion US dollars.

Microvast to build plant and work with Oshkosh
Battery manufacturer Microvast has taken over an existing plant from Akebono and Bosch in Clarksville in the US state of Tennessee and is converting it to produce battery cells, modules and packs for EVs. Microvast has also announced a collaboration with Oshkosh Corporation.
