Toyota has revealed the official pricing and specifications for the new Corolla Trek in the UK, a new version of the British-built Corolla Touring Sports hybrid. Prices for the petrol-electric hybrid start at £29,225.

The model name Corolla will be used by Toyota in all of Europe again, replacing the Auris name. This makes Corolla the global standard name for all three chassis variants (Five-door, Sedan and Touring Sports) for the new generation in the C-Segment.

The Japanese want to make it big in China with Toyota preparing to launch 10 electrified models there by 2020. The Corolla and Levin in their PHEV version are making the start at the Beijing Auto Show and are set to launch next year followed by a BEV in 2020.
