SK On announces plan for precursors joint venture in South Korea
SK On, cathode material company EcoPro, and Chinese battery material manufacturer GEM are building a production plant for precursors for electric car batteries. The site should be completed by the end of 2024 and have an annual capacity of 50,000 tons of precursors.

SK On announces plans for nickel joint venture in Indonesia
The South Korean battery cell manufacturer SK On is building a nickel supply chain in Indonesia together with two partners. Through a joint venture, the partners want to secure raw materials there and process them into intermediate products. In the end, however, the material could end up in SK On’s US-American battery plants.
