E.On eager on e-mobility: The utility founded a new e-mobility division. It is to set up EV charging infrastructure and service across Europe together with partners. A first cooperation exists with Hungary, where E.On will supply infrastructure together with ABB. Over the last months, E.On has also begun to electrify its 4.500 strong fleet as it acquired 150 electric vehicles.

500 charge points will be installed in Bulgaria and neighbouring countries like Greece by the end of 2017. The plan for the SEE region goes back to Sofia-based eMobility International, which now operates its platform Eldrive in partnership with Finland’s Fortum Charge & Drive.

2,000 mile EV corridor: Colorado, Utah and Nevada will make plans for an interstate network of EV charging stations together. The charging corridor will connect over 2,000 miles of highway as it will line the Interstates 15, 25, 70, 76 and 80.

ISO/IEC testing symposium: Charging infrastructure, manufacturers and technology providers came together in South Korea to prove compliance to the ISO/IEC15118, DIN 70121, SAE J2847/2 standards. They tested hardware and software so engineers fine tuned their products under real life conditions.
