Enel completes fast-charging grid EVA+ in Italy & Austria
Together with its automotive partners, Enel has completed the construction of all 200 fast-charging stations of EU project EVA+ (Electric Vehicle Arteries) in Italy and Austria. In both countries the 50 kW multi-chargers now add up to 400 charging points for all kinds of electric cars.

Fast-charging Romania and Croatia – TEN-T
Renovatio and Telekom Croatia say they will install 23 fast-charging stations in Romania throughout this year. The EV stops are part of a wider initiative that entails 69 DC charging stations in Croatia and Romania to be set up with EU funding.

429 fast-charging stations with multiple standards installed in 10 countries by four EU projects were merged into one pilot network, which has been completed this month. A total of 26.3m euros came from TEN-V as well as BMW, Nissan, Renault and Volkswagen plus EDF, E.ON, ESB and Verbund. Benefiting countries are among others the UK, Austria and Denmark. The EU hopes to enable electric travel across borders to spur longterm confidence in EVs.

Sleep and charge: AccorHotels teams up with Chargemaster to provide EV fast-charging facilities at Ibis and Novotel hotels across Great Britain. The first phase starting early next year will see 60 hotels being fitted with EV accommodations. Guest can charge their electric cars for free.
Electric bus fleet: Wellington aims to successively electrify its entire bus fleet within the next five years, beginning with an electric bus demonstration in the first half of next year. The move is backed by the region’s council, which also plans to introduce ten hybrid buses in the interim period.
Charging the USA: Philadelphia Airport now opened seven charging stations with two spots each, where charging is free at least until April. The stops are operated by ChargePoint. Salt Lake City, too, installed DC charging stations at six locations throughout the city. They are part of the EVgo network.
