Blink charger upgrade: After Tesla made its patents public, the Car Charging Group announced that it will integrate Tesla charging technology into its 119 Blink quick chargers in the USA. Before, Model S drivers needed an adapter to use Blink’s CHAdeMO chargers.

E-bus investment: Electric bus manufacturer Proterra received 30 million dollars from GM Ventures, Kleiner Perkins and Tao Invest to further develop its vehicles. Furthermore, the company expects to generate another ten million dollars funding within the coming weeks.

British-American knowledge transfer: With British ‘Intelligent Energy’ the U.S. hydrogen initiative ‘H2USA’ will gain another supporter. H2 campaign: The California Energy Commission supports the installation of 28 H2-fuelling stations, investing 47 million dollars in the project. 27.6 million dollars are allocated for a total of 19 Toyota and FirstElement Fuel joint projects, some of which will be installed at existing gas stations. Linde LLC plans to set up a H2-fueling station in San Ramon.

16 million dollars for car-sharing: The city of Indianapolis and utility provider Indianapolis Power and Light want the state to foot the bill for installation of charging infrastructure and power lines for a proposed EV-sharing programme. London’s cabs to be electric only: Mayor Boris Johnson demands all new taxis in the British capital to be capable of emitting zero emissions from 2018. For this to happen though, the mayor first has to stick to his plan of installing 25,000 charging stations across the capital. Meanwhile, Frazer-Nash and Ecotive unveiled the full specifications of their all-electric ‘Metrocab’ with range extender which is ready to go into service this year.
