German Aerospace Center & HWA develop cleanest concept yet
With the prototype Zero Emission Drive Unit – Generation 1 (ZEDU-1), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), together with the automotive company HWA, has developed and successfully tested “the world’s most environmentally friendly car in operation”.

Hyraze League to establish racing on green hydrogen
A consortium of German partners will establish the Hyraze League as the world’s first automobile racing series to use hydrogen from sustainable sources. The concept now presented envisions 588 hydrogen-powered cars competing using eco-tech both in the real world and online.

Mercedes counts on F1 success for Formula E
Mercedes will utilise the engineering power of its Formula 1 team to accelerate their advance in the electric racing series which they will enter next year. Their engine base at British Brixworth will now “expand its scope of attention to include the unique challenges of Formula E”.
