BMW & JLR to cooperate on development

The BMW Group and Jaguar Land Rover are joining forces to develop the next generation of electric drives. It will apparently be some time before the parts jointly developed in Munich can be used in production cars.

BMW to take over 75 % majority of China-JV BBA

BMW is pushing ahead with its electrical plans in China. First, the carmaker takes over the majority of the joint venture with local car manufacturer Brilliance, second, the joint venture announced that it would invest over 3 bn euros in new and existing plant structures in Shenyang.

BMW iX3 reservable in Norway starting now

As of the 1st September, it is possible to reserve the fully electric BMW iX3 in Norway for a down payment of 15,000 Norwegian Krone (about €1,550). The final purchase price however, has still not been announced. The start of serial production is estimated for 2020.

BMW & Brilliance expanding China venture BBA

BMW and its partner in China, Brilliance, agreed to expand their BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA) joint venture. BBA aims to increase capacity at both local facilities in order to produce 520,000 BMW a year from 2019. Moreover, the BMW iX3 may hit markets outside the People’s Republic.

BMW reveals next generation iX3 Concept

BMW is doubling down on their investment: The Concept iX3 will have a motor performance of over 200 kW, when it goes into serial production in 2020 as an SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle). According to the new WLTP measuring system, the range even exceeds 400 km.

What’s NEXT for BMW?

BMW has taken stock and delivered an outlook on the the near future. Next one up is a preview of the iX3, the Bavarians’ next venture into all-electric driving. On top, expect to see more of the iNEXT this year that shall roam autonomously by 2020.
