Major rare earth deposits found in Sweden
The Swedish state-owned mining company LKAB says it has identified significant deposits of rare earth metals that are needed for electric cars and wind turbines, among other things. Mining on a larger scale will potentially first be possible in several years’ time.

Scania sends electric trucks to LKAB mine in Sweden
An electric Scania Heavy Tipper will operate in the LKAB mine in Malmberget, in northern Sweden, alongside an electric crane truck specially adapted for these mining operations. This is also to be used as a test for the BEVs in the “demanding underground mine environment”.
