Canoo plans to buy vehicle factory in Oklahoma
The eMobility start-up Canoo has announced that it will buy a vehicle production facility in Oklahoma City. Canoo plans to produce its Lifestyle Vehicle (LV) and its cargo variant Lifestyle Delivery Vehicle (LDV) at the plant, which are to be delivered to customers from 2023.
Canoo to build battery plant in Oklahoma
Canoo announced plans for a battery module manufacturing facility in the US state of Oklahoma. The plant will be fully operational, producing modules from Panasonic battery cells with a total annual capacity of 3.2 GWh. Construction is scheduled to begin before the end of the year.
Canoo moves up production launch to 2022
Canoo is moving up the planned US production start in Oklahoma. Instead of 2023, production is to begin before the fourth quarter of 2022. In Europe, Canoo plans to have its debut model built at the Dutch production plant VDL NedCar as early as 2022.
Tesla is getting ready to buy in Texas

Open charging: Honda has opened a new charging station at its R&D facility in Offenbach, Germany. The station uses 940V technology so that up to four vehicles can charge simultaneously with different types of connectors. It sits safely under a solar carport and is open to the public.
