Scotland grants over £40 million for zero-emission buses
The Scottish Government has awarded £40.5 million through a second round of the Scottish Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme (SULEBS). It is the largest SUBLEBS investment yet and will help replace 215 old diesel buses with new battery-electric models.

At least ten electric Volvo Buses for Sweden
Volvo Buses is manufacturing at least ten electric buses for the Swedish city of Västerås. The operator there has commissioned the manufacturer to supply ten articulated Volvo e-buses. The contract also includes an option for seven additional electric buses.

Polish Ministry of Climate launches e-bus support schemes
The Polish Ministry of Climate Change announced a few weeks ago that it intends to promote the purchase of electric buses with two programmes with a total volume of 90 million euros. Both support programmes are to make it easier for municipalities and districts to purchase electric buses for passenger transport.

Solaris electric buses arrive in Berlin
The first Solaris electric bus has arrived in Berlin from an order placed in summer last year when Berlin’s public transport authority, the BVG, ordered 90 Urbino 12 electric buses. Another order of 90 vehicles is still pending.

Municipal EV fleets to be funded in Germany
The German Federal Ministry of Transport has presented 168 so-called ‘future cheques’ totalling 90 million euros as part of the Electromobility Directive. These cheques will help local authorities to purchase more than 3,800 electric vehicles and almost 2,000 charging options.
