Illinois introduces rebate programme for EVs

In the USA, a new rebate programme for EVs opened in Illinois on 1 July. Anyone who buys an electric vehicle (car, truck or van) can apply for a $4,000 rebate from the state. There is also a $1,500 rebate for electric motorcycles but not for electric mopeds.

British Columbia doubles charging station rebates

The Government of British Columbia is doubling its rebates for electric-vehicle charging stations. The increase is part of the CleanBC rebate program, which has helped the province to have one of the highest EV uptakes in Canada.
