Patenting progress: While the number of conventional engines stagnates, electric and hybrid engines made for 85 percent of patents filled last year, says the Center of Automotive Management (CAM). Jazz premiers in Paris: Honda will present the European version of the third generation Jazz at the Paris Motor Show. The compact car is set to launch in Europe by summer 2015. However, Honda did not say when a hybrid version, already available in the States and Asia, would come to the continent.
