Battery tram: Skoda Transportation will deliver twelve catenary-free trams to the Turkish city of Konya in 2015. Thanks to nano-lithium-titanium batteries mounted to containers on the roof, the ForCity tram will be able to travel 3 km on powerless routes, such as historic city centres without catenaries.
