Porsche looking at GTS versions for the Taycan

Porsche is apparently planning further sportier GTS variants of its Taycan electric car. According to a media report, the Taycan GTS and the Taycan Sport Turismo GTS are next on the agenda. Both could be launched in 2022.

Porsche updates Taycan charging function software

Porsche has announced a software update for older Taycan models. This should also provide  2019 and 2020 model year customers with the same improvements with which the 2021 model year has been delivered since September 2020. It should also soon be possible to retrofit the 22 kW AC charger.

Porsche auctions Taycan Artcar for charity

American artist Richard Phillips has turned Porsche’s Taycan into an art object. The Taycan Artcar will be sold in April in a worldwide online auction with all proceeds going to support artists in Switzerland.

Porsche announces new Cayenne series manager

Porsche has found a replacement for Cayenne series manager Manfred Harrer, who left for Apple to work on Project Titan. Stefan Weckbach used to be the chief developer of the Taycan electric model and will now take over responsibility for the large SUV series.

EPA releases official Taycan Turbo range

The US American Environmental Protection Agency has released their officially calculated range for Porsche’s Taycan Turbo BEV. The electric car only managed 201 miles – quite a bit lower than the anticipated 280 miles by WLTP standards.
