Renault plans for electric truck in each segment by 2023

Renault Trucks intends to offer an all-electric range for each market segment (distribution, construction and long-haul) from 2023. To this end, the company has now created various departments specialised in electric mobility. Renault has also provided initial technical data for the Kangoo Rapid panel van.

Volvo Trucks to electrify entire lineup by 2021

Volvo Trucks will add battery-electric trucks to its complete model range in Europe from 2021. The EV range will then include electric trucks from 16 to 44 tonnes for logistics, waste management, regional transport and urban construction.

Volvo Trucks North America awarded California EV grants

Volvo Trucks North America was awarded $21.7 million in grants to deploy 70 VNR Electric trucks in Southern California for regional freight distribution and drayage. Deliveries are to begin next year, with the order expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2022.

Volvo to reveal electric semi truck at IFAT in Munich
