Alternative fuels funding: The U.S. Department of Energy will grant 4.5 million dollars to innovative projects designed to increase the acceptance of alternative fuel vehicles (AFV). Hydrogen and electric vehicles will have to share with natural gas and other fuel types while approaches addressing safety as well as training for first responders are eligible for funding.

Nissan meets Manchester City: The carmaker has signed a 5-year sponsorship agreement for the British football team’s portfolio of clubs which includes the Japanese F Marinos already sponsored by Nissan. For about 20 million pounds, the company’s logo will now also be seen on the back of Manchester City’s women team and Leafs be used at Man City’s training academy.

Alpiq to serve Volvo: Alpiq E-Mobility has installed a Mennekes charging station at Volvo’s Swiss headquarter in Zurich and will supply other Swiss branches of the carmaker. The cooperation includes the deployment of Mennekes’ home chargers to Swiss buyers of the Volvo V60 plug-in. (in German)
