E-bus pilot project: Indian state Gujarat will kick off a pilot project with six all-electric buses for public transport. Moreover, solar-powered charging stations will be set up at the central bus station in the town of Gandhinagar to keep the electric buses running. Gujarat Transport Minister Vijay Rupani meanwhile invited the auto industry to “manufacture electric vehicles in the state.”

Sleep and drive: Ford has teamed up with the Limehouse Holiday Inn Express hotel in London as part of the expansion of its GoDrive car-sharing scheme in London. Guests will be able to choose from a Ford Focus Electric, or the Ford Fiesta 1.0-litre Ecoboost.
