K Group to install EV charging at stores in Finland
Finnish K Group wants to install a network of EV charging stations at its convenience stores across Finland. Labelled K Charge, 70 stations are to form a network of 400 charge points being installed throughout 2019 in support of the nation’s EV effort.

Electric delivery: UPS has added another five electrified Mercedes-Benz Vario to its fleets in the German cities of Düsseldorf and Hamburg. The company therefore as a total of 40 electric cars in its fleets across the country and says it will crack the 50 mark before the end of the year.

Shop and charge: Finnish company Kesko will fit its retail locations with EV charging stations. Four chargers will be erected in each Vantaa, Espoo, Turku and Lahiti. Charging is free for customers.
E-bus pilot project: Indian state Gujarat will kick off a pilot project with six all-electric buses for public transport. Moreover, solar-powered charging stations will be set up at the central bus station in the town of Gandhinagar to keep the electric buses running. Gujarat Transport Minister Vijay Rupani meanwhile invited the auto industry to “manufacture electric vehicles in the state.”
Solar charger patent: Envision Solar has received a patent for its portable solar charging station EV ARC in the U.S. The company also announced that the EV ARC is patent pending in China and the EU.
Sleep and drive: Ford has teamed up with the Limehouse Holiday Inn Express hotel in London as part of the expansion of its GoDrive car-sharing scheme in London. Guests will be able to choose from a Ford Focus Electric, or the Ford Fiesta 1.0-litre Ecoboost.
